In the recipe settings, you can turn on and off functionality in the recipe area.

Show/Hide	Show Uploaded Recipes	This will only affect the menu
Active/Inactive	Partial recipe	**This will have influence on the recipe
Active/Inactive	Alias	**This will have influence on the recipe
Active/Inactive	BOM (Build of material)	**This will have influence on the recipe
Active/Inactive	Mass Import	**This will have influence on the mass import
Active/Inactive	Uploaded Recipes	**This will have influence on the uploaded recipes
