6.3.15 TwinCat

TwinCat is a device which deliver the connection to physical inputs and outputs. It is only possible to have one TwinCat device.

Setup fields:

• Configuration
• Input and output tab
• Test device

Configuration:

1. Write the device name and device description (required)
2. Select if the device is active or not
3. Select the following:
   1. Net ID – Extended IP address. Default is 127.0.0.1.1.1
   2. Main port – Main port no. Default is 300
   3. Server port – Server port no. Default is 301
4. Press Save
5. Now it is possible to connect to the TwinCat device by pressing the Connect button

Input and output tab:

The options are to import the wanted symbol; just one or all the symbol on the list. To import all the symbols, press the Import all button. To import one symbol, press the Download symbol, and the symbol will be downloaded and can be added. Now press the green plus symbol to import the symbol into TestIT, and when the symbol is imported it will show a green Correct symbol. If the symbol cannot be imported it will show a yellow triangle warning, and here it is possible to check the tooltip for a description. To remove the symbol again, press the Trash, and to edit a symbol press the Edit symbol.

Test device:

This area can be used to test I/O directly to and from TestIT.

The input symbols will display the current value from the TwinCat symbol.

The output symbols will display the current value from the TwinCat symbol, and can be set by entering a value in the textbox and selecting Enter or by selecting the button next to the textbox.
